I was just looking up the band my dad was in and came across your site. My dad was John Bishop from Pieces of Peace. What brought me to this site was a comment by Jerry J Wilson Jr who said he has photos of my dad. It would be amazing to see photos of him that I've never seen before.

Great memories I have of seeing you with the Pieces of Peace in Singapore. I still play in various styles of music. I met you again at a Phil Collins show in Melbourne. It's always a pleasure to hear you play ! And you are always in such great company. Maybe we will meet again one day. I had a 30 year reunion with my band Black Fire Prophecy in Bali around 2000. We played up there and had a wonderful time

Hey Rahmlee. I just listened to the Richard Blackwell interviews again on Youtube - all 3 parts. Wow, looking good! You haven't changed a bit after all these years - and the interview was very interesting. Hope you're keeping well. We have just had another Gullivers Reunion here in London last month. Hi Rahmlee. Many, many years ago when the fabulous EWF/Phoenix Horns were in London, you used to visit a club called Gullivers - remember the best soul club in town? Also when you guys were recording with Phil Collins. Great days! I still adore the soul/jazz funk music and keep in touch with many of the old Gullivers gang. We meet up from time to time and relive the good old days - we had great fun working there - it was the place to go. I tune in for updates from time to time, have followed your progress over the years and was so very sorry to hear about Louis and Don. What happened to Michael? I hope he's ok. I became a fan through my love of EWF. I am glad to see you are still making vibrant and great music. I am 28 but I grew up with "REAL" music and I just downloaded Rise of the Phenix, man I am so thankful to finally have this. Your sounds have been vibrant and amazing. My only regret is that I was born in the wrong era, would of loved to see you with EWF back in the day. God Bless and Rise of the Phenix is simply amazing.

You just don't know how much of an influence you have been in my life.
Since the age of 14, i got my hands on every you recorded, you have been my teacher and mentor.
At the young age of 16 i was playing 5 night's a week with cat's that were 10 and 12 years older then me.
I took every bit of your playing as a lesson!
Learning to play every note clear,crisp and clean.
I cut my chops on your horn line's.
Since then i have played with many pro's
from the gap band to ike turner, and i just want to thank you for the lesson's and the inspriation.

I got a burning question about The Phenix Horns who might've recorded an album by themselves called "Sky" in 1979.
I never saw it anywhere in any record-shop or -fair I've ever been ( and I've seen quite a few..:-) and also don't know nobody who has it or ever heard it. Maybe you can shed some light on this mystery for me....

Hey Brother Rahm, It was really great chatting with you the other night after your performance with Bobby. I know it was quite a surprise! I'm desperately awaiting that new CD because I've OD'd on the other two. My favorite is "He is Here". Hey Brother lee, that horn section with Earth was the first time Ive' heard music so hip that every players part from verdine's to you and micheal's was so tight and masterful that each part could be made into it's own tune. P.S. The trumpet playing endurance floors me even today. peace&love Bro.

Hey Rahmlee how ya doin Bro.? Steven (Dramatics Trumpet Player) just thought I'd drop you a few lines. I found that copy of Phoenix Rising (my brother has it) It's all coming back to me now. After listening to your latest joint, I heard Basin Street Blues and it hit me like a brick. I remember I was in High School and I heard that tune and it totally captivated me, that's not taking anything from your new release I dig it to. Man it is truly a blessing to meet guy's that I grew up listening to, and motivated me to play (I have to ask myself if it wasn't for those slick licks that the Phoenix horns, Seawind or Parliament put down would I be playing today?
