Hi Rahmlee. Many, many years ago when the fabulous EWF/Phoenix Horns were in London, you used to visit a club called Gullivers - remember the best soul club in town? Also when you guys were recording with Phil Collins. Great days! I still adore the soul/jazz funk music and keep in touch with many of the old Gullivers gang. We meet up from time to time and relive the good old days - we had great fun working there - it was the place to go. I tune in for updates from time to time, have followed your progress over the years and was so very sorry to hear about Louis and Don. What happened to Michael? I hope he's ok. Keep doing what you're doing, and take good care. Peace & Love, Fiona x

I became a fan through my love of EWF. I am glad to see you are still making vibrant and great music. I am 28 but I grew up with "REAL" music and I just downloaded Rise of the Phenix, man I am so thankful to finally have this. Your sounds have been vibrant and amazing. My only regret is that I was born in the wrong era, would of loved to see you with EWF back in the day. God Bless and Rise of the Phenix is simply amazing.
Also, is there any plan to release the album by the Phenix horns??

Hello Rahmlee,
My Mother (Zenal Adams) told me years ago that she was your cousin. I'm almost ashamed to say that I don't recall the connection. Putting that aside for a minute, I just wanted to tell you that I've always been a HUGE fan. Your work with EWF (best group ever), and all subsequent recordings have been brilliant. You're a great talent, and I've taken enormous pride over the years in saying "That's my cousin :-) " .
By the way, GREAT WEBSITE !!!
Take Care,
Keith

Man O man,
You just don't know how much of an influence you have been in my life.
Since the age of 14, i got my hands on every you recorded, you have been my teacher and mentor.
At the young age of 16 i was playing 5 night's a week with cat's that were 10 and 12 years older then me.
I took every bit of your playing as a lesson!
Learning to play every note clear, crisp and clean.
I cut my chops on your horn line's.
Since then i have played with many pro's
from the gap band to ike turner, and i just want to thank you for the lesson's and the inspriation.
I've learned many things from you
1.respect
2.take pride in what you do
3.Play clear and anonciate!
Peace and god bless!

My brother I just wanted to send you a quick email to thank you for the phenominal musical sounds you continue delivering to us (and the world). It never ceases to amaze me when I listen to you (The Phenix Horns) on the hit single "Sussudio" with Phil Collins and the other musical masterpieces you so passionately produce. I thank God for you and hopefully you'll consider a performance in Charlotte, NC one of these days. Thanks again for all you've done (and that which you continue to do).
God Bless!

Wow, very nice website and of course your musical work is brilliant. I don't know if you remember me but I was the keyboardist who played on Lui's Sam Lee stuff, DaMia & DaBoom, Pharoahs (LA) and I worked with Lui on other projects. I am a life time Phenix horns fan and just wanted to tell you to keep up the fantastic work. Your gifts are eternal. How can I receive your promo video for my collection? Please hit me back via e-mail, we'll chat.

Hi Mr. Davis,
I got a burning question about The Phenix Horns who might've recorded an album by themselves called "Sky" in 1979.
I never saw it anywhere in any record-shop or -fair I've ever been ( and I've seen quite a few..:-) and also don't know nobody who has it or ever heard it. Maybe you can shed some light on this mystery for me....
Thanks for all those great recordings!
PeAce,

Hi Rahmlee,
I just read all the neat comments that your friends and fans have written. While watching EWF this summer at Northerly Island in Chicago, I thought of you and wondered where you were. In fact, I've seen EWF twice. It's so nice to reconnect through your website.
I'm on the Grammy Career Day Committee and if you have a chance, please send me an email. I still have your autographed photo and treasure it very much. Grammy Career Day will be May 17th in Chicago at Columbia College where I did my undergraduate degree. Lots of great things have happened since then and I've retired from teaching and still active with music and arts in Chicago.
I'd like to add your website as a link on my website so let me know.
Met Gino Vannelli and Sandin Wilson (his bass player). They performed at the House of Blues last year.
Lots to share with you. When are you coming to Chicago? Let us know so I can tell all your fans and longtime friends.
God bless you and your family too! You're extraordinarily talented and we all love and miss you in Chicago!!!!
Your longtime buddy!
Doris Rolland
I saw Sherri Scott and Vince Willis last year at the Underground. Sherri performed at the African Festival of the Arts and I was able to purchase her wonderful CD which I played so much. Now I need to stock up on your collection.
Please see my website at www.freewebs.com/pandorieproductions
I hope you remember me from Chicago.

Hey Brother Rahm, It was really great chatting with you the other night after your performance with Bobby. I know it was quite a surprise! I'm desperately awaiting that new CD because I've OD'd on the other two. My favorite is "He is Here". You are armed and dangerous with those God given talents and may God continue to bless you and keep his Angels encamped around you and your family. Yes, I'm still singing and still have that rehearsal tape from you! :) This site is awesome. Don't forget to call me when you get back to LA.

Hey Brother lee, that horn section with Earth was the first time Ive' heard music so hip that every players part from verdine's to you and micheal's was so tight and masterful that each part could be made into it's own tune. P.S. The trumpet playing endurance floors me even today. peace&love Bro.

Hey Rahmlee how ya doin Bro.? Steven (Dramatics Trumpet Player) just thought I'd drop you a few lines. I found that copy of Phoenix Rising (my brother has it) It's all coming back to me now. After listening to your latest joint, I heard Basin Street Blues and it hit me like a brick. I remember I was in High School and I heard that tune and it totally captivated me, that's not taking anything from your new release I dig it to. Man it is truly a blessing to meet guy's that I grew up listening to, and motivated me to play (I have to ask myself if it wasn't for those slick licks that the Phoenix horns, Seawind or Parliament put down would I be playing today? Well I guess I've ranted long enough. See ya on the road Steven

Please note that I have a new email address. I am phsing out Netzo by June 1, 2006.
Zuri came out earlier this year and I was pleased that she finnaly got out to the house. I can't believe that I have been in my home for five years and I am actually thinking of moving to another spot sometime in the future and rent my place out. Oh and I spoke with Wendi Barnes and she is selling her home and moving to Vegas. If she gives some kind of farewell/moving party, I'll be sure to let you know.

I have become an adoring fan of the sound of Rahmlee's trumpet style. He's so alluring and tantilizing playing his melodies and ballads. Then when its time to celebrate, the sound of the Phenix horns will open up the party whether its praising with "Cry of My Heart" or "Rise of the Phenix Suite" with the regalia of royalty. Finally, partner dancing is BACK as STEPPIN' and I love it, its one of the best exercises there is. Larry Dunn has a BAAAAAAAAAD keyboard solo on "Rise of the Phenix Suite" as well as the african djembe drums by Derf Reklaw. Rahm's sweet and disarming trumpet melodies over Robert Turner's piano in "Most High", "Intimacy" and "Thank you for ya" while you meditate on the things of God and dance in praise of what he's done for you just today.
